Cameroonian Music: Where is it heading to? What do we do??

           I got into a taxi today and the taxi driver was playing a couple of songs but whenever it was a Cameroonian song he'd skip and play when it was Nigerian  or foreign song he'll leave it play to the end...it got me wondering what was wrong with the music, was it that he didn't like it or what? Well I think the only way of promoting our music is to be able to influence people to like/love it and not just to have it. Many Cameroonian rappers are now creating what I call "funny" lyrics instead of lyrics that carry a message or follow a theme and when I listen to some of these songs I laugh.. instead of getting a message from them. Its kinda funny you know to know but this is what's happening. Well am not a fan of long post so am gonna stop here but one more thing, let's try to promote our brothers and sisters in the music/film industry cuz I believe in Cameroonian music and I believe we'll be taking over the African music industry and maybe the world anytime soon... #PeaceOut

How to be a Good Blogger: Blogger Ethics

         Nowadays, everyone wants to be a blogger but what does it take to be a good blogger? Do you just open up a blog and start typing what we want or do we write on something we love? Think about that. Today am gonna give you some tips on how to become a good or the best blogger you can ever be

1) Start a Blog:  If you don't own a blog you can start blogging at Wordpress. Other recommended sites include blogger (am actually using Blogger to write type this) and Blogger is good because it allows you to see statistics on who has been looking at your blog, along with many customization options). So first of all own a blog, that's a good start.

2) Pick a topic you are passionate about: Well even if you don't have a passion, writing about your daily life can be a good read, depending on how you put it. People are looking for a funny story or your opinion on a debatable subject. For example, a celebrity beef, a sex scandal etc. Give your audience something they can talk about. This gets them to want to come back to your site and read what is on it. Make them hungry for more. Using photos too can help enhance the reading process and helps engage the readers.

3) Make your Blog easy to find: Make your blog easy to find by learning about Search Engine Optimization. Some keywords get a lot more searches than others so it's in your best interest to eventually choose the ones that do get searched often. Keep in mind that these are often more competitive that ones searched for less - but you might get lucky

4) Stay on topic: You shouldn't start talking about politics and then switch to sports. Get a topic and stay focused on that topic, try not to divert of move away from the main issue on what you are trying to post.

5) Make your post unique: Some bloggers will copy from other blogs and paste on theirs just because they are too lazy to create their own content. If you are a blogger, be prepared to type your own information in your own words rather than copy exact words from another blogger. Also try to change the way you arrange stuff on your blog so it can look different from those on other blogs.

6) Promote your Blog: When you start only you will know about the blog. Only start promoting the blog after you get about 15 post or more. If you promote before, people will think your blog is no good. You can always promote by using any social media outlets like Facebook, you can share a couple of links to your friends etc.

7) Be a responsive blogger: When your blog readers leave comments, it means they're interested in interacting with you and getting feedback. if you ignore them, there is a risk that they'll feel unappreciated and will stop reading your work.
