It was a cold sarturday morning and the sun had just started rising when John was woken up by the rays of sun that passed through the cracked walls of his hut and were shone on his face. He woke up with a groan, yawned and wipe his face. John was the son of a poor farmer who lived in the outskirts of town. He had a manly structure with huge arms and visible abs, which were as a result of years of hardwork on his fathers and mother's farm. He was very handsome too and had a cute smile. Since it was Saturday, John knew what this meant.. Farm work. He stood up from his bamboo bed which creaked as he pressed against it and then still drunk from sleep he walked out of his hut. John's family lived in a big compound and his father had two wives John's mum Dorothy and his stepmother Anna and her daughter Nora. John struggled as he tried to look towards the yard but the rays of the morning sun purturbed his vision causing him to raise his hand towards his head to block the rays of the sun getting into his eyes and there at the center of the yard beside a cypress tree was his mom... Mama John...laying out some corn from their previous harvest on the yard to dry.

John moved into the yard towards his mum and greeted her
John: "Good morning mama" she replied with a motherly smile.
 Mama John: "Good morning my son, how was your night" John was her only son and lone child.
John: "fine mom, I slept well"
"that's gud my son" Johns mum said..
Mama John: Go to the poultry and feed the chickens and  tie the goats in the bush so they eat and when you are done bring me some firewood so I can make some fire and cook breakfast for everyone
John: okay mum.

John slufily walked away heading toward where the chickens and other animals were kept. He did as his mum was instructed and then he took some firewood back to his mum
